- Over a period
of 50 years, Dennis Bentley has acquired knowledge of insurance
and reinsurance custom and practice, from a career which has encompassed
and developed knowledge of:
reinsurance & insurance underwriting and claims handling

technical insurance and reinsurance accounting practices

domestic U.S. insurance & reinsurance markets during the following

Dennis Bentley has provided as PRESIDENT of BENTLEY
CONSULTING SERVICES
1978 - 1989
- Rising
to become PRESIDENT of the REINCO GROUP, he was
initially responsible for the establishment of an office in London,
transferring to the New York Home Office (late 1979) to take charge
of the Treaty Reinsurance Department. He was appointed Group Senior
Vice President in 1985 and President in the fall of 1987. He was
responsible for a team of both Treaty and Facultative producers
and all administrative services, systems and procedures and a
staff, which at its zenith, totalled in excess of 50 in New York,
Los Angeles, Paris, London and Bermuda and included the assumption
of responsibility for the run-off of an underwriting agency which
had underwritten a book of international treaties.
In London, he introduced and developed Reinco Intermediaries'
relations with markets in London, Scandinavia, Holland, parts
of the Middle East and the Far East and was responsible for the
design of systems and procedures.
Immediately following his transfer to New York, he was responsible
for the production, marketing and technical administration of
Treaty Reinsurance in the U.S.A. and overseeing the establishment
of the office in Bermuda.

placement of Treaty
Reinsurance in the Lloyd's, London Company and International markets,
following an unusually thorough
- back-room
training which included collaboration in the drafting and production
of a Treaty Clause Book and an attempt to standardize Contract
Structure.
